#amreading – What, Why, While

What (am I currently reading)?

I am currently listening to the audiobook Fifty Fifty by Steve Cavanagh, and narrated by Adam Sims. It’s a legal thriller.

Blurb (taken from:  amazon.co.uk)

TWO SISTERS ON TRIAL FOR MURDER. THEY ACCUSE EACH OTHER.
WHO DO YOU BELIEVE?

‘911 what’s your emergency?’

‘My dad’s dead. My sister Sofia killed him. She’s still in the house. Please send help.’

‘My dad’s dead. My sister Alexandra killed him. She’s still in the house. Please send help.’

One of them is a liar and a killer.

But which one?

Why (have I chosen to read it)?

I haven’t read a courtroom thriller for a while, so having seen the excitement about this on Twitter, I thought I’d give it a go.   Its also a Sunday Times Best Seller and on Richard and Judy’s Autumn 2020 list.  This is the first book I’ve read by this author, though I see he’s written plenty of others – which is good to know for if I enjoy it (I am so far)

While (I  am reading it)

Like so many I am in lockdown, so I’m trying to spot cheerful/beautiful things to appreciate.  What better than this sheep and her two lambs?   This photo was taken when there were about a day old.  There are now 7 lambs in the field, which makes it a fun place to walk past.

All the best, and take care, Emma
