What (am I currently reading)?
I am currently reading the psychological thriller The Lies I Tell by Joel Hames. This is already available to buy, having been published by Spellbound Books in February 2021.

SHE’S WATCHING YOU,
BUT WHO’S WATCHING HER?
From the bestselling author of Dead North, a tense, claustrophobic psychological thriller perfect for fans of Lucy Foley, Claire McGowan and Clare Mackintosh.
Meet Polly.
Meet Emily.
Meet Belinda.
They’re all me.
My name is Lisa and I’m an identity thief. If I’m not inside your system stealing your money, I’ve probably already stolen it. I’m your friend. I’m your enemy. I’m in control.
Only now, the tables have been turned. I’m in danger. My son is in danger. And I don’t know where that danger’s coming from.
NOBODY CAN BE TRUSTED.
Why (have I chosen to read it)?
When the lovely Zoe of Zooloo’s Book Tours @zooloo2008 offered me this to read and review I grabbed it. I love psychological thrillers, and as I’m often reading in the papers about identity theft I thought learning a bit more about that could only been good – if maybe a little unnerving.

While (I am reading it)
This week I have been on one of my favourite A to B walks. It takes about 3 hours across the tops of the mountains, with stunning views all the way. Naturally I take the mountains lift up to the start of the walk, and then down at the end! (and there’s a free bus that returns me back to my car) Absolutely wonderful. If I make an early start there are not many people around, but plenty of “free range” cows, which can be a little scary, but this young one was very sweet. No patting allowed though!

My review of The Lies I Tell will be up on my book review website soon. In the meantime you may like to check out my other reviews on EmmabBooks.com , and my Thrillers and Crime page.
All the best, Emma
