What (am I currently reading)?

I am currently reading The Perfect Daughter by Alex Stone a psychological thriller that is out on 19 October 2021 and being pubished by Boldwood Books.    It will be available in paperback, ebook and audio.

Why (have I chosen to read it)?

I am a great fan of psychological thrillers, so when I saw this debut thriller by the great publishers Boldwood, and read the book blurb, I was intrigued and keen to get tucked in.   I notice that the author lives in Dorset, so I’m also hopeful that Dorset – a favourite county of mine, might get a mention. 

While (I  am reading it) 

Pumpkin season has arrived.  There is nothing better at this time of year than a steaming bowl of pumpkin and ginger soup, served with garlic bread.  As its a hassle to cook pumpkins, I find myself suddenly suggesting walks to mountains huts for lunch.

  1. When I was a small child, too young to appreciate working hands, my grandmother would clean the seeds of pumpkins and roast them in the oven for me. So I could eat them. That was autumn.
    A time before healthy food fashions and supermarkets. 🙂
