214 Palmer Street by Karen McQuestion

Plenty of surprises and suspense

Sarah is staying at 214 Palmer Street whilst the owners are away, and is not pleased at being discovered there by an attentive neighbour.

Kirk is a loving, and thoughtful husband.

“Her”  is definitely a shady character.

Or have I got it all wrong?  That is one of the delights of this psychological thriller, as the story unfolds so do the layers of the characters, and the reader is not sure who are the good guys and who are definitely not.   The one thing that is certain is there is a mystery awaiting to be unravelled.

The action is split between “now” and “6 months” earlier, the plot is easy to follow, the writing flows well and is fast moving.  To me this a was great involving thriller, that I looked forward to picking up, and thoroughly enjoyed.  Not too much about the plot here as I don’t want to give anything away, but there are surprises, suspense and plenty of times when I didn’t want to put it down.

This is the first book I have read by Karen McQuestion, and I shall certainly turn to her when I am looking for a entertaining thriller with good characters and an enjoyable plot.
