Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine

The wonderful story of Eleanor, who goes to work and does her job perfectly well, and then she goes home and talks to her plant and, at the weekend, drinks vodka.  She is completely fine with this, until she begins to talk to Raymond from IT.  Then there is the day she and Raymond help a stranger, and everything begins to change.

Change is not always easy, and parts of this book are not a comfortable read.  But Eleanor’s story is a compelling one, both discovering her past and wondering about her future.     The story is well rounded off at the end, though I would love a sequel, just to see how Eleanor is doing now.

The narration is so good you don’t even notice it – the different characters are so well narrated that they are easily recognised, and the story flows well.

5*s from me –  a wonderful and involving listen.
