Jo hears her Home Assistant (Alexa type gadget) talking to her about a secret from her past. Is she going mad, or is it real?
This is a heart-stopping psychological thriller about when Jo’s home gadgets know too much about her, and start threatening her with that information. So plausible that I found it rather scary, and also compulsive reading to find out if it is all in Jo’s mind, or who or what is behind it all. Just as I thought things couldn’t get worse for Jo, another twist happened.
Clearly written, with great characters and an easy to follow plot. Very involving and intriguing. What could happen if smart devices become a bit too smart? The references to poems by Sylvia Plath will add an extra edge for fans of hers.
5*s from me, as this is a very involving and dark novel about how smart technology, and social media, could change your life in a very scary way.

I read “The Ice Twins” and loved it. This one sounds fab as well. Thanks for bringing this title to my attention. I’m adding it to my TBR now…
