Without the Calories – quick and easy by Justine Pattison

Great recipes from everyday ingredients

My rating: 5 out of 5

Lots of low calories recipes, using ingredients that are readily available – and probably already in your store cupboard or fridge.

Without the CaloriesI love this recipe book, and many of the recipes are good enough to serve to guests.   I have never had a disaster with any of the recipes I have tried from this book, and find the instructions for freezing useful.    Every recipe has a picture of the dish alongside it, and what I have cooked has actually turned out like the pictures!  The day I bought this book I made the Yoghurt Pot Pancakes, which have since become a regular lunch time meal.   (I serve them with grapes and apples, and make a batch, and freeze them. )

Calories per serving are clearly shown on the page, for further nutritional details  on each recipe, there is information at the end of the book.

The book is a perfect size – fits in my cookery book holder, and the print is clear and easy to read.  I’ve been using this book frequently for 18 months now, and its still in great condition – no spine splitting!

5*s from me because the recipes are tasty, easy to make, and everything about this book is clear and simple.   Chicken and ham (filo pastry) parcels for dinner tonight 😊.

This is one of a series of “Without the Calories” recipe books – time I tried some of the others!
