Today I have put my review of Winter Garden by Kristen Hannah up on EmmabBooks.com . I listened to the audiobook version, the first half of which had me struggling to keep going, the second half however was compelling, upsetting, uplifting and completely involving.

Nina and Meredith have grown up listening to fairytales told by their mother and set in Leningrad. This time however she is going to tell them the whole story. It is historical fiction set in Leningrad during the 2nd world war. A love story, set during a time of tremendous hardship and suffering – an emotional rollercoaster.
