What (am I currently reading)?
I am currently reading The Crazy Season by Jim Ody @Jim_Ody_Author – a thriller set in Devon, England.
This thriller is being published by Question Mark Press @QuestionPress and Publication Day is 4th May 2021.

Book Blurb (provided by https://zooloosbookdiary.co.uk/ )
Joel Baxter is infamous for solving weird and bizarre cases that others avoid. So, when he receives an email from a teenage boy Tim saying his town is cursed, he cannot turn it down.
“…I will more than likely be dead when you read this. There is nothing I can do about it. It’s the curse, and we’ve hit The Crazy Season.” Every 20 years, there are a handful of unexplained teenage deaths and it’s started again.
With the help of his straight-talking friend Melody, they set out to get to the bottom of the alleged curse. Everybody in Black Rock has secrets and nobody wants to speak.
The closer they get to truth the more Joel and Melody realise that their involvement is far from coincidental.
Why (have I chosen to read it)?
I loved the sound of this thriller, as sent to me by Zooloo’s Book tours @zooloo2008 – having checked carefully that it was not a horror book! I’m about quarter of the way through it at the moment, and it is definitely a thriller, with some great characters and nothing to scare me – indeed if I lived in England I’d be very tempted to visit the area it is set in.
While (I am reading it)
Spring has finally arrived here, so I’m back walking in the mountains. I can only go a short way up as there is still plenty of hard packed snow up there, but hopefully the sun will clear that soon, which will allow the cows to get back out on their meadows, and open up more walking routes to me.

If you would like to tell me What you are reading, Why you are reading that book, and what you’re doing While you’re reading it, then let me know via the Guest Blog Page on EmmabBooks.com and maybe I’ll blog about it.
All the best, Emma
