What (am I currently reading)?
I am currently listening to the audiobook version of the crime and mystery novel The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman. I am listening to the Audible UK version which was released in September 2020 be Penguin Audio.
The book is narrated by Lesley Manville, and there is a Q&A at the end between Richard Osman and Marian Keyes.

Book Blurb (taken from https://www.audible.co.uk/ )
The first book in the gripping Thursday Murder Club series by TV presenter Richard Osman.
In a peaceful retirement village, four unlikely friends meet up once a week to investigate unsolved killings.
But when a local property developer shows up dead, ‘The Thursday Murder Club’ finds themselves in the middle of their first live case.
The four friends, Elizabeth, Joyce, Ibrahim and Ron, might be pushing 80, but they still have a few tricks up their sleeves. Can our unorthodox but brilliant gang catch the killer before it’s too late?

Why (have I chosen to read it)?
Now that the second book in this series has been published, I thought it was time I found out what everyone has been getting excited about by reading/listening to this, the first book in the series.
While (I am reading it)
Snow has arrived to half way down the mountains so I am keeping to the valley, where people training for the cross country skiing season often whizz pass me.

My review will be up shortly. In the meantime take a look at my other Audiobook reviews here: https://emmabbooks.com/audio-books/
All the best, Emma

I’ve tried cross country skiing a few times, but now I prefer to just snowshoe. The Thursday Murder Club sounds good!

I do a bit of classic cross country skiing, but also enjoy snowshoeing up to a lift, and getting the lift down 😀
