What (am I currently reading)?
I am listening to the psychological thriller Wrong Place Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister. Narrated by Lesley Sharp and published by Penguin Audio, this audio version was published in May 2022, as was the hardback. The paperback is out in February 2023 (in the UK)

Can you stop a murder after it’s already happened?
Late October. After midnight. You’re waiting up for your seventeen-year-old son. He’s late. As you watch from the window, he emerges, and you realize he isn’t alone: he’s walking toward a man, and he’s armed.
You can’t believe it when you see him do it: your funny, happy teenage son, he kills a stranger, right there on the street outside your house. You don’t know who. You don’t know why. You only know your son is now in custody. His future shattered.
That night you fall asleep in despair. All is lost. Until you wake… and it is yesterday.
And then you wake again… and it is the day before yesterday.
Every morning you wake up a day earlier, another day before the murder. With another chance to stop it. Somewhere in the past lies an answer. The trigger for this crime—and you don’t have a choice but to find it…

Why (have I chosen to read it)?
I have previously only read one other book by Gillian McAllister, also listened to as an audiobook, and that was her psychological thriller How to Disappear. I loved that and gave it 5*s. I’ve seen so many great reviews about Wrong Place Wrong Time that I thought I’d give it a go.

While (I am reading it)
I’ve been in hospital having a minor shoulder operation. It went well, and I’m now recuperating at home. I thought a few more kitten pictures would be nicer than operation/hospital pics. So here they are – he is growing fast, and is now 3 ½ months old.

All the best, Emma

Get well soon, Emma.
Our neighborhood cat (although I’m sure she belongs to one of our neighbors, she’s clean, fluffy and with a collar) strolls through our front garden daily. Lots of birds in the trees around, and just as many wishes on her whiskers, I am sure.
