What (am I currently reading)?

I am currently reading the thriller The Pain Tourist by Paul Cleave.   This was published a few days ago (10th November 2022) by Orenda Books.

Why (have I chosen to read it)?

I’m reading The Pain Tourist because I really enjoyed Paul Cleave’s previous thriller The Quiet People, so when I noticed he had a new book coming out, I was keen to get stuck in.  What really attracted me to The Pain Tourist was that one of the characters, James, has been in a coma for years, but knows things from that time that he shouldn’t.  That seemed an interesting idea to me. 

While (I am reading it)

I saw the snow cannons being tested this week. Personally I’m happy for the sun to stay shining with warmth for a lot longer, but my hotelier friends tell me it is only 5 weeks until their ski guests start arriving, so I guess things are gearing up to get the slopes skier friendly.
