Wrong Place Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister

Clever, fast moving thriller

One night Jen’s son commits a terrible crime, right in front of her.  She cannot believe that her lovely, caring son has done such a thing, and has no idea why he has done it.  The police take her son away, and tell her to come back to the police station in the morning.  Though Jen can hardly sleep that night, she does drift off only to find when she wakes up that she has woken up “yesterday” – and therefore before her son commits the crime.  And so begins a pattern with Jen waking up at different times in her past, as she tries to uncover the events leading up to the night her son commits the crime.

5*s for this psychological thriller from me (which I listened to as an excellently narrated audio book), because not only was it a great story, but it was so cleverly written – I can only imagine that the author must have had an enormous wall with time lines and events stuck to it – which she then managed to piece together into a fast flowing and easy to follow twisty thriller.   So well written that when circumstances stopped me listening for over a week, it was easy to pick up again from where I had left off.  Great ending too!
