Out of the Silence by Owen Mullen @OwenMullen6 @BoldwoodBooks

Well I have the most exciting news for you today. Owen Mullen, the brilliant crime author, is re-releasing some of his great books, revised and re-edited. A fantastic chance to catch up on any you have missed. I’ll be blogging about them all as they become available, so keep an eye on here to stay up to date.

Today I want to introduce you to Out of the Silence by Owen Mullen (my review will be up on EmmabBooks next week). This is perhaps my favourite of all of this author’s books – though they are all great, so its difficult to say. This new version is available on 23 March 2021 (as are some of his others)

WHEN BRITISH INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER RALPH BUCHANAN IS SENT TO PAKISTAN, HE FIGURES HIS BEST DAYS ARE BEHIND HIM. BUT HE’S ABOUT TO EMBARK ON A STORY THAT WILL CHANGE HIS LIFE FOREVER.

In the Punjab region, Dr Simone Jasnin listens to an abused woman’s harrowing story just before she dies. Afra’s tale of sadistic cruelty is an all too common one in the region, but Dr Jasnin is determined not to let Afra’s story die with her—and she goes to Buchanan for help exposing the injustice.

Seven years later, members of a prominent Pakistani family are being brutally murdered, one by one. The only clues are the hand-carved wooden bangles left at the scene of each crime. As the list of suspects grows and authorities come up short, Buchanan realizes the solution to the deadly riddle might be closer to home than he ever thought possible. It’s a story that could make his name… but at what cost?

Owen Mullen is a best-selling author of psychological and gangland thrillers. His fast-paced, twist-aplenty stories are perfect for all fans of Lee Child, Ian Rankin and Harlan Coben.

A short while ago Family by Owen Mullen was released by Boldwood Books, and the 2nd book in this series – Insider – is due out in August.

It is so great to have something to be really excited about in these times. Big thanks to Owen Mullen and Boldwood Books for this news.

All the best, and happy reading. Emma
